dnp is happy to present the winners of the August Supernova Photo Installation Competition for the home and business market:

August installation - home market:
The installation of an 84" Supernova Flex Screen in a home theatre in Denmark.

With its almost clinically bright white design, the room's high level and build-in obstacles presented a challenge for nearly any front projection screens - except the Supernova Flex. Now the customer can switch from his 37" plasma screen to a superior large screen experience at the touch of a button.

Winner of the August installation - business market:
POLYMEDIA for its service to Novy Urengoy City Parliament in Russia.

Minimum construction work and maximum cost-effectiveness were requirements from the customer - which ruled out a rear projection solution. Instead, the Supernova One Screen got the parliament's vote.

●   dnp Supernova™ Screen gets ISF Certification

Denmark , March 2007: dnp denmark, manufacturer of high-end optical projection screens, has received the Image Science Foundation (ISF) certification – hereby certifying that the fabric on their optical front projection screens, Supernova™ Flex Screen and Supernova™ Infinity Screen, meet the specifications that define the best video display available for consumers.

The world wide recognized ISF certification is consumers guarantee that the display maintains brightness and colour balance over the entire viewing cone. “We are very proud and excited that the optical qualities of the Supernova Screen meet the high-quality benchmarks set forth by ISF”, says Johnny Jensen, Supernova Product Manager at dnp denmark.

Superb calibration capability
The Supernova Screen is designed to provide superb screen quality by delivering a high black level and bright uniform colours. With the ISF certification the Supernova Screen enables dealers to provide an optimum residential installation with superb video performance by using ISF calibration of the two piece system (projector and screen).

“The ISF mode is the highest compliment any manufacturer can pay their dealers, and the very best way for dealers to set up the products they deliver. This is how a manufacturer formally recognizes that their dealers are an integrated part of the delivery process”, says Manfred Freiberger, Senior Account Manager at dnp USA. “With an ISF certified screen, the Custom Installer can assure the end-user that he will experience colours as intended by the cinematographers. An ISF certified screen enables the Custom Installer to provide calibration of the combined projector and screen without the risk of offsetting the original colours from the source material”.

●   Sonic Foundry Receives Patent for Mediasite
  14 November 2006 | Tuesday

MADISON, WI — Sonic Foundry®, Inc. (NASDAQ: SOFO), a leader in automated rich media communications technology, today announced the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (PTO) has granted Sonic Foundry a patent related to its rich media communications system, Mediasite™.

The Mediasite patent covers a production method and system involving the capture, indexing and synchronization of RGB-based content. The captured content can then be sent over a network, such as the Internet, and viewed by others whenever they want. The patented technology allows a person to give a presentation in an office meeting, a classroom or at a conference, while the technology synchronizes what the presenter says with visual aids, and instantly streams both over the Internet.

The PTO also indicated that it would add at least 551 days to the term of the patent because of delays by the PTO in examining the patent application. Thus, the Mediasite patent could be in force through May 11, 2025.

“This patent is recognition of Sonic Foundry’s leadership in the rich media space,” said Rimas Buinevicius, chairman and CEO of Sonic Foundry. “We are pleased that the Patent Office has identified the company’s technology as an innovation deserving of a patent.”
